Luís Galvão Teles
Born on December 4, 1945, Luís Galvão Teles studied Law in Lisbon (1967) and Cinema in Paris (1968/70). Throughout his 50-year career in cinema, Luís Galvão Teles has held various positions as director, screenwriter, producer and distributor. He was an active participant in various film movements in Portugal before and after the revolution of April 25, 1974. That same year, he became one of the founding partners of CINEQUANON, a film cooperative that played a key role during the revolution. In 1997, he founded FADO FILMES, one of the most important Portuguese film production companies.
